We moved to Evesham over 8 years ago. Before retiring I was a Registrar of Births, Deaths and Marriages, and then a Cemetery and Crematorium Registrar. I'm a member of U3A and involved in several groups. I've enjoyed every event arranged by the Festival of Words over the years and have of course already booked many for 2026.

Gill Strickland
Committee Member
I have always loved words and books. When I was a child I would read with a torch under the bedcovers, long after I should have been asleep. One of my greatest pleasures now is seeing my grandchildren deriving the same enjoyment from books. I am a member of U3A and a volunteer with Citizens Advice.
In addition to the above we have a great band of supporters who help in a wide variety of ways. This includes particularly helping at events, making cakes and brochure distribution. We are all volunteers.
