Once again, the Battle of Evesham Festival weekend includes a fantastic series of talks by historians and others, all taking place in the Presentation Marquee on the Crown Meadow. Headlining the weekend is Professor Alice Roberts, who will be familiar to all from her TV programmes. Her talk, DOMINATION: The Fall and Rise of an Empire, is on 1st August at 4pm.
Other talks include: The Welsh, before, during and after The Murder of Evesham; Simon de Montfort in his own words; Enchanting harmony and passionate unique performances, with Medieval Babes; Tyrants and Traders: Arthur and the Lost Kings; Sons and Daughters of Perdition: The Children of Simon de Montfort; and To Lose One Excalibur may be regarded as a misfortune. The weekend kicks off on Friday 31st July with UK Queen, Europe’s favourite Queen tribute band.
