About

This brand-new play by Mikron, invites you to join the East Riding Mobile Library, in a celebration of community, culture, caravans and peas. From Bempton to Bridlington, Hornsea to Howden, explore a region barely noticed by the nation it feeds and eroded by the pounding North Sea. Can a mobile library – with its complex web of rural stops (and somewhat erratic engine) – pull together the Riding’s finest yarns?

Hop aboard the most charmingly quirky mobile library you’ll ever encounter. From the rolling Wolds, to the wild North Sea, discover a place where connection to the land is ingrained, culture is as organic as its produce, and the sea reminds us that we stand on the cliff-edge of a much bigger story.

Mikron never fail to delight, whether performing about the NHS, Butlins, Crufts, Womens Institutes, or Bletchley Park. We are delighted to welcome them back to Evesham.

This event will take place outside whatever the weather. Bring your own chairs. No need to pre-book. There will be the usual Mikron ‘pay what you feel’ bucket collection at the end of the performance. If you would like to eat at Raphael’s, please book with them direct – -01386 45460. Note that own food cannot be eaten on Raphael’s premises.
