Saturday afternoon was a really lovely time as I was invited to Evesham Library to present the medals to all those children who had completed the Summer Reading Challenge – of reading 6 books over the summer holidays. This was the first time I’d been involved and I was hugely struck by the incredible enthusiasm of the children, some of whom were tiny tots, and the real sense of pride among the family members present, and also by just how many children had completed the challenge. Reading is such a magical way to spend time. Lets hope they continue with their love of books and reading.
